- About your business and expertise
- Patrick’s personal and professional career of helping others began over 30 years ago. Nicknamed “Father White” from a character he portrayed on stage, he was the ‘go to’ guy for everyone in school who had a problem, whether it was academics or relationships.
Always looking for opportunities to teach, he worked his summers in high school as a teacher for the “Gifted & Talented” program of Morris County. For six weeks he worked with a group of 6-8 students teaching them about teamwork, creative problem solving, leadership, and how to utilize their combined resources to find the way through obstacles and challenges.
In college, Patrick continued his path of helping others by providing one of the first data recovery services for students that accidentally deleted their course work. Drew University was one of the very first colleges in the U.S. to require all students to have personal computers, Patrick’s class being the first such class to do so. As a computer science major, he made it his mission to ensure that his classmates understood and effectively utilized this new technology, going to far as to modify the systems to allow for the use of foreign character sets such as Spanish, Russian, French, and Greek.
Beginning his professional career as a computer specialist in banking, Patrick has always been on the cutting edge of technology, and has had to rely on creative thinking to solve many of the issues facing businesses as they sought to employ this new and ever changing technology.
On Star Trek, Mr. Spock had to “use stone knives and bear skins to create a mnemonic circuit” as he was trapped in the early 20th century. In the later 20th century, things hadn’t improved very much. Needing to learn new technologies in massively compressed timeframes, working with business leaders to help them understand both the possibilities and the limitations, and helping as many people as possible overcome their fear of computers was his passion.
As one of the builders of the Internet back in the late 1980’s, Patrick has always had a vision of the future not unlike those depicted in such TV shows and movies as Star Trek, Star Wars, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and many of the other stories that show mankind utilizing technology to visit the stars and make the world a much better place to live.
Living and working here in Simi Valley with his wife Marie and his son Patrick, his work now focuses on sharing that vision with others, while helping them as individuals and organizations to develop and realize their own visions. Working with one person at a time, his mission is to make the world a better place for us, and the future.
